At North Hill House we offer GCSE modular mathematics at both foundation and higher tiers as we endeavour to meet students abilities and interest and to offer a flexible curriculum. The foundation tiers enable students to gain up to a GCSE grade C whereas the higher tier enables students to aim for a higher grade up to A*. For those students that are more suited to gaining a pre- GCSE qualification North Hill House can offer 'entry level' numeracy. This allows students to work at their own pace towards gaining a bronze, silver or gold certificate of achievement. The majority of our students will complete these courses during year 10 and year 11. However, certain gifted students may aim to complete their GCSE in year 10 enabling them to spend year 11 either commencing A' level mathematics or to study GCSE statistics.
